The 10 vital questions you need to ask your Financial Adviser

How much do I pay your firm each year to manage my investments, in pounds and percentage terms?

Can you send me your service schedule that shows clearly what I get for the fee?

Is this service schedule different for other clients of your firm and if yes, please explain the differences that apply?

How much money in pounds has your firm charged me to manage my portfolio since I became a client of your firm?

Do you charge me on a percentage basis? If so, is this in my best interests and aligned to my goals and financial objectives?

If I wanted to continue to work with your firm, but on a flat fee basis, would you be able and willing to accommodate me?

If you can offer a flat fee, what are the terms and what services are included, and what comes at an additional cost?

Do investors with larger sums invested with your firm pay more for broadly the same service as clients with less money?

If your firm’s fee revenue is linked directly to the value of my portfolio, how do you avoid a conflict of interest?

If I wanted a full financial planning service with your firm, how much more would that cost me and does your firm offer it?
